FUNDRAISING TO HELP THIS INJURED KITTEN
A week ago, I found this kitten dragging himself out of the street after having been hit by a car. Today, I went to visit him at the vet's office and he's doing so much better! His back legs are still weak after having some spinal damage but with rehabilitation he should be able to be an active little buddy. He's incredibly sweet, playful, and loving. The vet has generously offered to take him on as a project and find him a good home once he's back up to full steam. She's calling him CC (Carcrash). If you can spare some money to send her way, hit me up. This little friend will receive excellent care either way, but I want to show this vet some love for doing the right thing and honoring his life.

I have personally grown lettuce, tomatoes, herbs, and am now trying potatoes, celery, cabbage. A lot depends on your available space and your lighting. Also my vegetables are not always extremely large when I use them. For instance, I now have a plum tomato plant - the tomatoes are delicious but not as large as you get in a store. I consider them the perfect size for my salads or just for snacking. Going vertical seems to be the idea to max your growing space whether indoors or out. I love the photos of a garden wall in your kitchen.
Yeah yeah
that kitchen can fuck off.
i just wanna grow everything when i move

"We tend to think animals are lower than us, but all the scientists in the world couldn't design and operate a bumblebee's wing. We can't jump or run very fast, and we can't carry vast weights like an ant can. We can't see in the dark and we can't fly except crammed in a noisy tube like sardines, which doesn't count. Humans compared to animals are almost totally deaf, and we can't smell a fart in an elevator by their standards. We are finite and separate, and neurotic, while the consciousness of an animal is at peace and eternal. We strive and go crazy to become more important. Animals rest and sleep and enjoy the company of each other. We think we have evolved upwards from animals but we have lost almost all of their qualities and abilities. The idea that animals don't have consciousness or that they don't have a soul is rather crass. It shows a lack of consciousness. They talk, they have families, they feel things, they act individually or together to solve problems, they often care of their young as a tribal unit. They play, they travel, and medicate themselves when they get sick. They cry when others in the herd die, they know about us humans. Of course they have a soul, a very pristine one. We humans are only now attempting with the recent rise in consciousness to achieve the soul that animals have naturally."- Stuart Wilde (via lanthorn)

( ._.)./ an explanation:
The dog has an issue where his esophagus doesn't work right; it doesn't get food in there right because it's all stretched out and stuff. So what dog owners (and cat owners and I guarantee you the cat ones look goofier) do is make a highchair and feed them upright so gravity can be a hero. It's also really cute.
The disorder is called Megaesophagus.
Here is a cat with the same disorder in his eatin' sock.
